Watercolor Workshop – A Four Week Class

UNITED Theatre Artist-in-Residence John Tedeschi teaches a 4 week class in watercolor. This course introduces students to a variety of materials while encouraging experimentation and exploration of watercolor as a medium. Classes are Monday Feb. 23rd, Monday March 2nd, Monday March 9th, and Monday March 16th, each from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the UNITED Gallery. Students will choose a genre to focus on in upcoming sessions and build foundational skills in color theory, layout, composition, and blocking in forms. Through guided work sessions and ongoing WIP (work-in-progress) critiques, students will receive individualized feedback and support. Demonstrations in watercolor landscape and portraiture will be included, with an emphasis on artist choice, personal goals, and working toward a finished piece that reflects each student’s creative vision. This course is intended for anyone 16 and older.
