The United Table- Our Food Story: The Mystic to Westerly Culinary Corridor

Please join us at the UNITED Table for the first event in our new series with the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center as they host a panel and tasting event showcasing the Mystic to Westerly corridor as one of the most exciting culinary destinations in New England. The heart of our region’s food story is what’s happening in the fields and waters, and kitchens and classrooms as chefs and farmers and educators work together to create the food future we all want to see. Jennifer Rothman of the Yellow Farmhouse will lead a panel discussion with James Beard finalist Renee Touponce (Chef/Owner of Oyster Club and The Port of Call), Matt Durham (Educator at Yellow Farmhouse), and Jane Meiser (Director at Stone Acre Farms) exploring the partnership between Stone Acre, 85th Day, and the Yellow Farmhouse as an example of local farmers, chefs, and educators working together to produce, prepare, and educate for a better food future. Following the panel we will move into the gallery events space where attendees will get a free beer or wine along with a tasting of local staples. Guests will also receive a discount to use at Stone Acres Farm.

The UNITED Table series is a new culinary entertainment series presented by The United Theatre to celebrate the food we eat and the creative, hardworking people who take the care and thought in preparing and presenting that food, preserving its history, and filling our lives with the tastes, smells, and experiences that bring people together. Through conversations, tastings, book talks, food fests, and screenings from the culinary cineverse, The UNITED Table invites you to pull up a chair. Bon appétit!
