The Terminator
In the post-apocalyptic future, reigning tyrannical supercomputers teleport a cyborg assassin known as the “Terminator” back to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, whose unborn son is destined to lead insurgents against 21st century mechanical hegemony. Meanwhile, the human-resistance movement dispatches a lone warrior to safeguard Sarah. Can he stop the virtually indestructible killing machine?
This Art House Theater Day, AHC will premiere of the 40th anniversary high definition restoration of James Cameron’s The Terminator. The film’s producer, Gale Anne Hurd, shared: “Knowing that many people have never seen the film, or missed out on seeing it on the silver screen, I couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate The Terminator’s 40th Anniversary with its return to cinemas on Art House Theater Day. And for those of you who‘ve watched the film on the big screen previously, thank you — I hope you’ll enjoy the nostalgic experience of seeing it again!”
Included with The Terminator will be a pre-recorded AHC-exclusive Q&A between Cameron and Hurd on the film’s indie roots and the critical importance of art house theaters.
