The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King – Fellowship Film Series
The UNITED brings back the Fellowship Film Series, a communal rewatch of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy seen as intended on the big-screen in Dolby 7.1 surround sound. Join us in week three for The Return of the King on Wednesday, December 16th. The culmination of nearly 10 years’ work and conclusion to Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy based on the timeless J.R.R. Tolkien classic, “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” presents the final confrontation between the forces of good and evil fighting for control of the future of Middle-earth. Hobbits Frodo and Sam reach Mordor in their quest to destroy the `one ring’, while Aragorn leads the forces of good against Sauron’s evil army at the stone city of Minas Tirith. Watch the trailer here.
Who doesn’t love a holiday rewatch of the coziest of classics! Be sure to buy tickets early as this series sold-out the last time we ran it. And don’t miss The Fellowship of the Ring on Wednesday, December 2nd and The Two Towers on Wednesday, December 9th.
