Swing Band Benefit Concert
Three big bands will take the stage at the UNITED for the second annual Swing Band Benefit Concert. The “Time and Changes Jazz Orchestra”, a classic 17 piece big band, will lead off the concert. Next up is “As Time Goes By”, a popular local swing/jazz band that has organized this concert. Closing the concert is Sean Nelson’s New London Big Band, a 17-piece jazz orchestra made up of the finest musicians in New England. Music selections will include hits from some of the greats such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and Count Basie. Come listen, dance, and donate. Proceeds will benefit the music programs in the Westerly and Stonington public schools. Tickets are $22 for adults/ $12 for under 18.
