Steven Slosberg – East to Westerly
Authors and journalists Steven Slosberg and Betty Cotter will hold a conversation about Slosberg’s latest book, “Columnist II, East to Westerly,” on Oct. 27 at The United.
The latest book is a collection of 52 columns that Slosberg wrote for The Westerly Sun from 2016-2023. Previously, “Columnist – 45 years of having a say” was the compilation of 46 columns he wrote for The Day in New London, where he worked from 1975 until 2007.
Slosberg’s work has received top honors from the New England Press Association, The Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, the American Association of Sunday and Features Editors and the New England AP News Executives.
Cotter is a lecturer in the journalism department at the University of Rhode Island. She is the author of two novels and countless short stories and essays. She currently writes the “Swamp Yankee Stories” column for The Sun.
The United event, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will feature a discussion between Slosberg and Cotter and a Q&A session. Both books will be available for purchase. Cash only.
