The Irish Coastal Club, in partnership with The United Theatre presents the first-annual Westerly Irish Film Fest. Leading up to Saint Patrick’s Day, we’ll be showcasing three films from the land of saints and scholars – the new, charming Irish-language comedy Róise & Frank (2023); the now classic, beautifully animated family film Song of the Sea (2014); and the sweet and quietly eloquent Herself (2020). Tickets to each film are $10 (not subject to Tuesday cinema discounts) – sold individually. The Irish Coastal Club is a Rhode Island non profit social club that enjoys sharing Irish culture with the community through a variety of special events and classes in all aspects of Irish heritage. In Song of the Sea, an Irish youth (David Rawle) discovers that his mute sister is a selkie who must find her voice and free supernatural creatures from the spell of a Celtic goddess (Fionnula Flanagan).
