Roots Music Stomp w/ Craig Edwards (November)
Roots Music Stomp is a monthly series of performances hosted by Craig Edwards, who has been called “A walking encyclopedia of American Roots Music.” November guest artists will be Pitcher’s Garage Band, a marvelously talented family band from South County, Rhode Island, featuring multi-instrumentalists and instrument builders Molly and Danny Davis, joined for part of the evening by their children Cleo and Roy (who’ll have to be off to bed before we wrap up around 8pm). Expect expert renditions of Old Time Music, Early Country songs, Rags, and Blues, much of it from Mississippi and Alabama, with many tunes from African American fiddlers, and maybe a bit of square dancing….
