Phantom Thread – Knit at Nite Screening

The UNITED presents the May Knit at Nite film series screening featuring Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread. Knit at Night is a new monthly cozy-meets-cinema series where the lights stay a little brighter and you are invited to bring your knitting, crocheting, or fiber project of choice and settle in for a communal screening designed for makers. Join fellow fiber artists before the movie from 6:15-6:45pm in the UNITED Gallery space to share projects, mingle, and make new friends. In the film, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock and his sister Cyril are at the center of British fashion in 1950s London — dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites and debutantes. Women come and go in Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship. His carefully tailored existence soon gets disrupted by Alma, a young and strong-willed woman who becomes his muse and lover. Watch the trailer here.
