Ondine – Irish Film Fest

The Irish Coastal Club, in partnership with The UNITED presents the third-annual Westerly Irish Film Fest. Set on the coast of Cork, Neil Jordan’s lyrical modern fairytale Ondine tells the story of Syracuse (Colin Farrell), an Irish fisherman who discovers a woman in his fishing net whom his precocious daughter believes to be a selkie. Watch the trailer here. Join us before the film, from 6pm to 7pm for a pre-screening reception in the UNITED Gallery.
Leading up to Saint Patrick’s Day, the Irish Film Fest will be showcasing three films from the land of saints and scholars – Ondine (2009); The Miracle Club (2023); and Bridget (2025). The Irish Coastal Club is a Rhode Island non profit social club that enjoys sharing Irish culture with the community through a variety of special events and classes in all aspects of Irish heritage.
