In Movies with Meaning, local essayist Peter Laffin (National Catholic Register, The Catholic Thing) will lead a discussion with local clergy, including Father Michael Najim, Pastor of St. Pius X, on religious themes in Elia Kazan’s classic “On the Waterfront” starring Marlon Brando. What role should religious leaders play in achieving social justice? What obligation do we all have to tell the truth, no matter the personal consequences? Join Laffin and Father Najim on October 5th for a stimulating discussion and a screening of the film.
