The UNITED’s Neighborhood Watch film club presents a special screening of George Miller’s post-apocalyptic masterpiece – Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981) introduced by screenwriter Terry Hayes (here in person). A young Terry Hayes, who was a journalist, political reporter, and then producer of Australia’s top rated morning radio show stumbled into the job of writing the novelization of the original Mad Max movie in 1979. The producers loved what he did so much, they hired him to write the sequel thus launching his screenwriting career. Prior to the screening, Hayes is hosting a book talk at the UNITED for his new novel I Am Pilgrim (separate tickets required).
