The United Table – Beyond the Jar: Connecting Food, Culture, and Creativity
Please join us at the UNITED Table as the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center hosts a conversation on fermentation. Fermentation is more than just a method of food preservation; it’s a process that transcends the kitchen and connects us to unexpected parts of our lives. From shaping cultural traditions to bringing back memories of our past, fermentation creates intersections between food, creativity, and community. For the food tasting component, we are going to have a miso sampling, miso making demonstration, and other fermented treats.
The UNITED Table series is a new culinary entertainment series presented by The United Theatre to celebrate the food we eat and the creative, hardworking people who take the care and thought in preparing and presenting that food, preserving its history, and filling our lives with the tastes, smells, and experiences that bring people together. Through conversations, tastings, book talks, food fests, and screenings from the culinary cineverse, The UNITED Table invites you to pull up a chair. Bon appétit!
