High Noon
In the latest installment of Movies with Meaning, local essayist Peter Laffin (National Catholic Register, the Catholic Herald, The Catholic Thing) will lead a discussion with local clergy, including Father Tony Dinoto, Rector of Christ Church in Westerly, on religious themes in Stanley Kramer’s classic “High Noon” starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. The 30 minute talk, which will center upon the tension between the need for self-defense and Jesus’s call to turn the other cheek, will be followed by a screening of the film.
