Fences
The UNITED and Westerly ARC present a screening of Fences (2016), the critically acclaimed adaptation of August Wilson’s play directed by and starring Denzel Washington alongside Viola Davis. Based on August Wilson’s 1985 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, the film follows Troy Maxson, a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh grappling with race, responsibility, and missed opportunities in baseball.
