Dance UNITED – A Return to 1926 with “The Prohibitions”
UNITED Black Box Auditorium
Travel back to 1926 for the 4th annual Dance UNITED fundraiser hosted by Friends of the UNITED. The UNITED is celebrating the 100th year of its building which first opened in 1926 with this special 1926-themed evening of dance featuring a new all-star band called The Prohibitions w/ Arthur Migliazza/piano and vocals; Johnny MacLeod/guitar and vocals; Mike Law/upright bass; Doug James/sax; and Bobby Christina/drums. Prizes will be given to Best Dressed, Most Spirited Dancer, and Best Couples Dance.
All proceeds from the event will go to support the UNITED’s 1926 Fund – fueling the next century of creativity, connection, and community by helping to protect the theatre’s mission, sustain its programs, and ensure that the arts remain a vibrant part of life in Westerly for generations to come.
Sponsored by Ed French & Son, Pure Eco Spa & Boutique and Thorp & Trainer.
