An Hour or so With the Poes
The Colonial Theatre at The United invites you to THE POE PARTY! Gary Allan Poe performs Edgar Allan Poe in An Hour (or so) With The Poes, followed by a reception in The United Gallery featuring light bites and signature cocktails. “Dark and dreary” attire welcome! Proceeds benefit The Colonial Theatre. Gary Allan Poe is a co-founder of Oldcastle Theatre Company in Bennington, VT now in its 49th year. Gary is in his 75th year. He made his professional debut in 1968 in the New York Shakespeare Festival’s production of Henry IV, Part I. He spent two seasons with the American Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, CT. He has appeared locally in Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth with The Flock Theatre. With the Colonial Shakespeare Festival in Westerly, RI he has appeared in The Tempest and The Taming of the Shrew. He has also performed in Other People’s Money at the Ivoryton Playhouse in Essex, CT. He probably is not related to Edgar Allan Poe, but he IS related to a 16th century Undersheriff of Nottingham.
