March of the Penguins with the Mystic Aquarium

In collaboration with the Mystic Aquarium, March of the Penguins is a month-long celebration of penguins to raise awareness and funds for the South African penguins, an endangered species. Proceeds will benefit conservation efforts undertaken by the Mystic Aquarium and the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB).

Penguins on Parade

In partnership with the Stonington and Westerly public elementary schools, the month of March will kick off with a trail of penguins painted by their students! These large, colorful penguins will be marching down Route 1 from the Dunns Corners area of Westerly to the UNITED, and onto Route 234 from Pawcatuck towards Exit 91 and the Mystic Aquarium. Made possible by Handcrafted Homestead Furniture of The Velvet Mill & Hardwood Design Inc. of Exeter, RI.
