Love and Feathers – Screening and Reception
The Lanterman Family and the Olean Center present a very special screening of the new short documentary film Love and Feathers followed by a reception with lite bites, refreshments, and live music from Starling of Portland, ME, whose song “Love and Feathers” is featured in the film. There will be three screenings of this 13-minute film throughout the night at 6pm; 6:45pm; and 7:45pm.
In Love and Feathers, Special Olympics athlete (and Westerly resident) Jesse Lanterman prepares for her upcoming competition in her usual ways: working her salon job, bowling with friends, and searching for the juiciest strawberry in her garden. Filmed by Jesse’s cousin, this week-in-the-life short documentary offers an intimate profile that champions the tenderness of family. The film is directed, shot, and edited by David Meiklejohn.
